This is the softest/finest blend in a 70/30 blend of extra fine merino (19 micron) and tussah silk. Most merino/tussah blends offered are 80% 21.5 (not as fine) micron merino and only 20% silk. This superior fiber blend is great for spinning or for any kind of felting project, wet, nuno, or needle. This is not a True Blue as it has just a hint of teal to it. Deep, rich and jewel toned, it's a wonderfully versatile and popular blue color and fantastic for those "next to skin" soft projects. Ultra fine and silky, with a subtle luster, courtesy of the tussah. Of course it still has a lovely hand, with a truly decadent feel to it.
