Lovely shades of grays make up this DHG blended color roving of "next to skin" super soft (19 micron) merino and luxurious tussah silk 70%/30%. Deep monochromatic base colors and the subtle luster of the tussah, just beautiful and great when you want the glorious effect of tussah silk in your project without adding a lot of color. There is a bit of a deep and earthy plum tone mixed in. Just enough that In most lighting scenarios, it has the bruised tones of a brewing storm. This is seriously soft fiber and great for spinning, weaving, nuno/wet felting as well as needle felting of course. Most merino/silks are an 80/20 blend instead of this 70/30 and they use 21.5 micron merino. This is noticeably finer and softer than the others!

This fabulous fiber is produced by DHG and made up of 70% extra fine merino wool and 30% tussah silk. As always, all the materials are carefully selected to ensure constant quality over time. All merino wool lots are MULESING FREE. The dyeing complies with Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and is done in their dyeinghouse which is GOTS 5.0 and GRS certified.
