I typically have these wheels in stock for immediate Priority Shipping or UPS with Insurance so you'll have your wheel in a matter of days. Accessories purchased at the time of your wheel purchase will also ship free. New Golden Wheel Models are ready to ship also and priced individually in the drop-down box at upper right.
All Spinolution wheels are made a furniture grade ply, to resist warping as can be a worry with solid woods in various climates
I toured the facility where these wonderful, revolutionary wheels are made and could not believe what came out of the box in front of me! These travel wheels are the coolest. I watched them being made, assembled and shipped. Amazing.
The Worker Bee is the latest Bee Wheel designed by Mike, Spinolution's owner and was debuted in 2017 after spinners around the world requested a portable/foldable Bee style wheel with a larger bobbin. The difference between the Queen Bee, King Bee, and Worker Bee is the ratio range and bobbin size. The Queen Bee holds 4 oz bobbins. The King Bee holds 8 oz bobbins. The Worker Bee holds 16 oz bobbins as well as 8 oz bobbins and can fit in a carry on suitcase for flying around the world. You can spin fine to bulky yarn on any of these bobbins on this hard worker.
The Worker Bee is the perfect wheel for the spinner who needs effortless portability with a wide ratio range. The speeds are adequate for extra fine (1:26) to bulky (1:4) spinning - and the bobbin size is large enough for creative textures and embellishments to be included in your spinning.
Love spinning Cotton? Since it's debut, the Worker Bee has always included Golden Whorl engineering. With Golden Whorl engineering you have 30% less flyer drag, which makes spinning the more challenging short staple fibers a breeze.
Bobbin Size: 16 oz (Comes with THREE!)
Weight: 13-14 pounds
Ratio Range: 1:4 to 1:18.5
As Spinolution's owner/designer is always changing the appearance of his wheels, they often do not exactly resemble the design/pattern pictured.
