I had this ribbon overdyed to match the Cotton Novelty Yarn named Moroccan Gold listed here:
AND the custom dyed Cotton Novelty Yarn named Saffron Spice listed here:
Sari Silk Ribbon is made in India by women working through Fair Trade. They take what would otherwise be silk waste, from cutting sari silk for wraps and clothing, and sew the pieces end to end, occasionally tying ends, to make beautiful yarn. Some of these ribbon skeins are overdyed, which creates fantastic shading and a great range of similar hues. This yummy, bright gold colorway is excellent for fall colored projects or Boho design. It is bold and very pretty. Some of the ribbon may have a light pattern, some have a satiny shine while others are matte. Some edges are fringed, frayed or lacy, adding physical as well as visual texture and uniqueness. Shown in different lights, this is a stunning colorway. Most of these ribbons measure 1/2" - 1" with some as wide as 2". Use them phat or strip them into thinner ribbon. Embellish scrapbooks, book covers, scarves, art yarn, luggage, wreaths or purse straps, even jewelry. Great in weaving, rug making, or plying into your OOAK yarns.
Listing is for 5 yards.
