Some of the Angelina colors are longer and silkier than others. Such is the case with this one. Violette Crystalina (also called Blue Flash) is a stark, bright white base, that reflects beautiful Violet. My camera had a really tough time picking up the violet in this color, so it doesn't look as brilliant as it actually is. In the first picture, the bottom right corner shows the color - it's that bright violet color but all over. I blew up a corner of the last picture to show it best. It flashes a lot of violet, all through it.
Angelina is a very unique fiber, both light reflective and light refractive. A fun and fantastic embellishment fiber, adding depth, dimension, visible "texture" as well as bling. You'll frequently see it mixed in with yarn, felting, art batts and the like. For spinning or making art batts (or rolags), just a few fibers do a lot! Blended with other fibres in amounts as small as 2%, it gives sparkle and highlight to your projects, whether it's yarn, batts or felt. You can just "add a tad" while spinning singles or sprinkle a bit into your carder or blending board to liven up any color mix. To felt, simply lay it on top of your project or between your wool and the wool will tack it down. If layering between the wool, you'll want just a thin over-layer of wool so that you don't hide the wonderful sparkle and brightness of the Angelina. This color is great for when you want to add dimension and bling without changing the color at all.
I also offer collections of .1 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/2 ounce portions in 5 ct (your choice), 15, 30, 50, 75and 85 count colors (I'm also getting more all the time).
