Harrisville Rotating Warping Mill

Harrisville's Warping Reel (also known as a Warping Mill) has the capacity to wind up to 20 yards of warp and is completely collapsible for easy storage. It is made right here in the USA, of solid hardwood with a butcher-block maple base. Designed for table top use, it is 2 yards around and has 30" of vertical winding space. Three adjustable spreader bars with removable pegs allow for maximum flexibility in the placement of crosses in the warp chain. Our reels include an innovative brake system that creates just the right amount of resistance for easy chaining off. What a fantastic Feature! Shipped as a complete kit with easy assembly instructions. Light sanding and oiling are sometimes required. Sand paper & oil are provided. The warping reel will give you an accurately wound warp for easier beaming onto your warp beam. Both short and long warps can be wound on the warping reel, quickly and comfortably.

Warping Reels are more expensive and less portable than warping  boards or frames, but reels will make much longer warps, are easier to use, less tiring and more comfortable. The reels will also wind a longer warp more accurately and much faster. Excellent for those weaving floor runners, capes, rugs, long curtain panels, long bath towels and blankets. For winding a warp with 2, 3 or more threads at a time, the reel will be considerably easier to use than a warping board.

The reel is put on a low table or you can put the table reel on the floor and sit on a chair to wind your warp.
