These are some of the newest and most popular colors in Venne's Cottolin Weaving Yarn. Color card of their full line of Cottolin available for $5.95. Because of shipping cost from the Netherlands, I don't have many of these color cards, but usually have some in stock.
NOW Carrying the full line of GOTS CERTIFIED ORGANIC! Venne’s very high quality Cottolin is purchased from Venne in Holland. In 2013, Venne started converting the line to GOTS certified Organic Cottolin.
Cottolin is a classic choice for table linens and dishtowels. The linen content makes the fabric more absorbent and the cotton content makes tensioning the warp easier. This line of cottolin uses organic cotton, so you can feel good about that, and the price allows you to use several colors in a project without breaking the bank. Perfect for tea towels or any weaving projects where durability and a washability are important for your end product. This cotton & linen yarn blend is very fine, specially treated, cotton-linen absolutely wonderful for weaving! The weight is similar to that of cotton for substitution.
Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) was developed through collaboration by leading standard setters with the aim to define world-wide recognised requirements that ensure organic status of textiles, from harvesting of the raw materials, through environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing up to labelling in order to provide credible assurance to the consumer. Every step in the production phase has its own certification. For more information got to: http://www.global-standard.org
