Wonderfully soft and full of delightful nubby texture. Excellent for spinning, weaving, jewelry making, scrap-booking and fantastic mixed media!
Like the season's first snow, with some foliage still on the ground and holding it's color mixed in with the light dusting of powder. The colors of candy corn, only lighter tone with not as much orange. This yummy silk chiffon Ribbon is made in India by women working through Fair Trade. They take what would otherwise be silk waste, from cutting silk for wraps and clothing, and sew the pieces end to end, occasionally tying ends, to make beautiful yarn. Then these ribbon skeins are overdyed which creates fantastic shading and a great range of shading and hues. In this colorway there are multiple blended shades of Salmon, Pumpkin, golds and yellow on a cream/white base. Some skeins and especially in the case of the smaller quantities like 5 or 10 yards, there may be more of one than another or even very little or none of one. Ribbon thickness is mostly on the thinner size from 1/2" - 1". Use them phat or cut them into thinner ribbon as these are SO VERSATILE! Shown in different lights, the first three are most accurate. The last was taken in setting sunlight and gave it an overall golden glow which is not actually there. Embellish scrapbooks, book covers, scarves, art yarn, luggage or purse straps, even jewelry. Great in weaving, rug making, or plying into your OOAK yarns.
Listing is for five yards.
