Popular weaving, knitting, and plying yarn. Durable and well wearing, this is excellent for use as warp or weft. Nice large cone for those who don't want to take the time to wind balls. Generous yardage so you'll have fewer ends to deal with when your project is finished. I used the manufacturer's photos where I felt they were the most accurate and my own where I thought they needed improvement. My camera really picks up the two toned nature of this yarn but it's subtler, not as obvious as in the pictures. This Highland yarn is a slightly lighter than a Worsted but can be used in patterns calling for Worsted or Fingering. 450 Yards per cone (unwashed). Sett 8 - 10 EPI.

4.5 stitches per inch, US #7 needle

This yarn is also wonderful when felted after weaving or knitting. Use a pin loom to make squares that you then stitch together and felt with soap & water and a little rubbing. Beautiful.

Colors available:

Cornflower: Softly hued earthy blue, a cooling color versatile in any season.
Plum: Highly saturated and deep, while not bright or obnoxious. Warm and soothing eggplant like purple.
White Cream: The lightest, almost white. More of an Ivory cream. Neutral, versatile and great for dyeing if you like.
Foliage: Lovely fall tones in golds, rusts, russet and other earthy hues.
Cornsilk: Soft and buttery, this one is a somewhat earthy yet cheery gold.
Black Cherry: Aptly named it is deeply saturated with rich tones just like a ripe, black cherry.
Ebony: Deep but earthy black with the lightest variegation that gives it both depth and character. One of the most versatile colors.
Aegean: Beautiful medium blue green, not far off turquoise but still not too bright.
Teak: Another rich medium brown leaning toward russet and a deep rust. Ideal for country/rustic or fall themed projects.
Tundra: Richer and more gold than a sand color, another fall hued and earthy gold.
Hemlock: Deep, rich, yet earthy green. A Hunter or Moss green. Warm color tone.
Sea Green: Very Popular medium blue green. Not at all bright and less saturated than the turquoise with more of a green tone.
Sand: Neutral, versatile, beige and lovely. Soothing color.
Charcoal: Basic salt and pepper tones with more pepper than salt. Great deal of depth and character for such a neutral staple.
Hyacinth: Rich Royal Blue, deeply saturated and making a blue statement without being bright or obnoxious in tone.
Chianti: Like a deep red wine, more to the burgundy or maroon. Merlot would also describe this rich and lovely color.
Loden: A really deep and earthy blue green. Warm and comforting color. Dark moss or logwood.
Mustard: Rich and fall hued gold, much like a spicy brown deli mustard.
