Ashford Boat Shuttles are beautifully crafted and well balanced, made from solid Silver Beech hardwood and now available in two sizes. Lacquered finish. Includes one free nylon boat shuttle bobbin. The 14 inch shuttle is great for larger weaving widths and the 11.5 inch for smaller projects. Each boat shuttle comes with a free nylon bobbin in it.
Belt Shuttles are pictured second and measure approximately 7" in length.

The Ashford bobbin is 4-3/8" overall length and the hole is just over 1/8" diameter. For a bobbin winder to fit, we suggest the small shaft steel & brass Swedish Bobbin Winder, the new Ashford wooden single ended bobbin winder. . . or a double ended bobbin winder.
Paper Quills: Cardboard bobbins fit Ashford Boat shuttles and others of same size and are approximately 4" long. These are also used in the low profile Swedish boat shuttles such as Glimakra's shuttles also listed in my shop.
