Lucets are simple tools used for making cords and drawstrings. replicas of the ancient braiding/knitting forks used by Vikings and currently in reenactment groups). These particular Lucets are made of super smooth and lacquered hardwood - your choice of Maple (natural light color and slightly lighter in weight @ 1/2 oz) or Rosewood (the really dark ones @ 3/4 oz). Easy to use, comfortable in the hand and wonderfully portable crafting tools to take on planes, driving vacations, even great for keeping children occupied, making beautiful and useful items while they are stuck traveling.

Nearly any strong, even thread or yarn can be used for lucet cord making, using a single thread to make a square braid. There are endless possibilities as the basic cord evolves into multicolor braids, beaded trims and picot edgings for the finest embellishments or costume. With these little tools, you can get a lot of cord wound in just a few minutes.
