Ashford Super Reducer Set – Tame Your Twist with Orifice Control
If you’ve ever tried spinning fine yarn on a Country Spinner 2 or Kiwi Super Flyer, you know the challenge—your yarn can bounce and whip unpredictably through the oversized orifice.
The Ashford Super Reducer Set solves this problem with a two-piece nylon bushing kit that reduces the flyer orifice diameter to 15 mm (5/8") or 10 mm (3/8"). These inserts fit snugly into the existing large orifice, providing more control and less “dancing yarn” as it enters the flyer.
Perfect for spinners who want to switch between art yarns and more traditional, finer spinning on the same flyer setup—without buying a new flyer.

FAQs
Q: What does this reducer set do?
A: It reduces the flyer orifice size, helping control fine yarns and preventing whipping or excessive movement through the large opening.
Q: What wheels is this compatible with?
A: The set is made for the Ashford Country Spinner 2 and the Kiwi Super Flyer. It does not fit the Country Spinner 1 or e-Spinner Super Jumbo.
Q: Can I switch between the two reducer sizes?
A: Yes. The 15 mm and 10 mm bushings are interchangeable and can be inserted/removed by hand depending on your yarn weight.
Q: Will this help with spinning fine or laceweight yarns?
A: Yes. The smaller orifice gives greater control and reduces yarn flailing, especially helpful for fine, high-twist yarns.
Q: Do I need tools to install this?
A: No. These nylon bushings are designed to press-fit into the flyer orifice—just insert and spin.
