Second Picture: This is the widest beater fork and long, measuring approximately 9.25" long X 4 3/8" wide with 12 teeth 1 3/4" long and spaced 3/8" apart. This will accommodate a wider variety of yarn/rope/ribbon if you're aiming for texture. Smoothly sanded, unfinished hardwood, weighing approximately 4 1/2 oz. Third picture - These are Schacht Beaters, made from hard maple. Top is their weighted beater, beefy and designed for use on thicker yarns. A sculpted beater, it is hefty and will add a nice amount of gusto to your beat. Middle Beater is the double ended - This compact beater has a smooth finish with wooden teeth set at 5 dpi just as their single ended model. The slight cup of the teeth gives a firm beat. Bottom beater is the single ended - Its wooden teeth are perfect for fine to medium warp yarns and its narrow width 1.5") makes it ideal for smaller details. These puppies are designed to last a lifetime. Choose from a single ended beater (about 8" long X 3/4" and about 2.25 ounces), double ended beater (about 6" long X 3/4" and about 2 ounces) or weighted beater (approx 8 1/2" long by 2 1/2" across the head, weighing 8.5 ounces).
Third Picture - Ashford's NEW Tapestry Beater measures a whopping 9 2/3" and is not weighted.
Pictures 6 & 7 are of Lacis's metal toothed beaters/combs. Picture 5 is their 3.5" - 24 tooth tool (teeth themselves are 1 1/8" long. Picture 6 is the 6 TPI with longer teeth measuring a hair over 1 3/4". These are heavy duty tools to use on the toughest weft. Their teeth will not bend or break. Ashford is in the process of making minor design/shape changes to its beaters. We have both styles in stock. These changes don't significantly affect the functionality of their beaters.
Schacht's Warping Paddle is pictured second (coming...). Handy light weight warping tool allows you to wind up to 20 threads at one time on your warping board or reel. Made with the same slot and eye design as a rigid heddle, it enables you to make the cross easily by sliding the yarns up and down in the slots. Paddle head measures 3" X 4". End to end is a tad over 9"
Last picture is of mini-loom tools. The plastic beater and shuttle are ideal for the small looms such as Schacht's Mini Loom, Weave-It Pin Looms and other mini pin looms.
