Just wrap the yarn in either the 1 inch or 1/2 inch slot and count the number of wraps to tell you what yarn you have. Instructions and gauge chart comes with your gauge. Made of New Zealand silverbeech, this yarn gauge offers 1/2 and 1" measures for use by spinners and weavers.
