Spinolution's skein winder can wind both 1 & 2 yard skeins. It is compatible with the following wheels:
- Firefly
- Monarch
- Hopper
- King Bee
- Echo
- MACH III
- Bullfrog
It mounts directly onto the 8 oz, 16 oz, and 32 oz flyer heads just like a bobbin. It will lock into place on the 8 oz flyer. The magnetic orifice bar keeps it on the flyer. It comes apart into two pieces, laying flat for travel or storage. In addition to yarn winding, some fiber artists also use the skein winder to hold warp for looms during sectional warping, adding even more studio flexibility.
The skein winder is not compatible with the 4 oz flyer, as it is too wide, or the 12 oz flyer, as it is too long. I
