The Louët Lazy Kate Post is a handy accessory for attaching a lazy kate rack to compatible Louët double-treadle spinning wheels.
Also referred to as a “Block for DT Lazy Kate,” this outrigger mounting post creates additional space for installing a lazy kate rack on select Louët wheels. It allows spinners to securely mount bobbin racks on either side of the wheel, improving plying flexibility and yarn management during spinning sessions.
Designed specifically for double-treadle Louët spinning wheels, this post is required because the lazy kate rack cannot mount directly to the wheel base as it can on single-treadle models. With a second post installed, spinners can even configure dual lazy kate racks for holding up to four bobbins at once.
Note the bobbins and rack are not included in this product but can be purchased separately.
