All Sizes of Ashford's standard Drop spindles are an easy and inexpensive way to introduce yourself to spinning. This is a great class spindle as they much less costly than really fancy spindles yet actually nicely finished, classy spindles, available in all five sizes. A notch in the whorl helps keep your spun yarn in place. The Student Spindles are not lacquered and are without notches.

Ashford's Classic Bottom Whorl Spindle: Lacquered and made to travel, this is their popular bottom whorl spindle with removable whorl and unique wire hook. Comes apart for traveling.

XS, Sm, Med, Lg, XL and Classic Spindles come with 2 oz Free Fiber. Student Spindle comes with 1 ounce of top quality easy-to-learn spinning wool from heritage longwool breeds, such as BFL, Shetland, Cheviot, Polworth, Wensleydale or Gotland top. The white/cream wool is ecru and takes dye very well.
