This is Ashland Bay Soft (21.5 micron) merino in a fabulous superwash. Superwash wool can take rougher handling than regular wool and holds it's color well. Dyeing or hand painting superwash wool results in vivid and vibrant colors as no regular wool you'll ever see. A very high quality merino, this is next to skin soft and excellent for spinning and needle felt
