From Nature's own earthy pallet, here is lovely Flax tops in the colorway of Steel Blue. It's a blue-gray Wedgwood shade, surprisingly earthy so there's no brightness to this colorway but there is a gentle luster. These Flax fiber selections are carefully selected to ensure constant quality over time and are surprisingly soft. Dyed in DHG's dye house, the dyeing complies with Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and is done in DHG's dyeing house which is GOTS 5.0 and GRS certified. This preparation of hemp tops is perfect for both needle and wet felting, spinning and hand weaving.

There are so many uses for flax. Have fun using this bast fiber in your art batts and yarn. Flax adds texture, strength and weight to your projects. Also prized for it's environmental friendliness and is said to have health benefits as well as great antibacterial properties. Consistent and renewable source.

Flax is one of the oldest non-animal sourced fibers to be used in making garments and other products. While mostly thought of by modern Western cultures as a food product for its seed and oil, many are unaware that flax is a great spinning and felting fiber.
Environmentally, Flax is a good choice in textile fiber, as it provides a sustainable, chemical free source of lightweight summer clothing. Because of negative environmental and labor issues with growing and processing cotton and wools, linen is quickly growing in popularity. There are no harsh treatments used in this organic eco-friendly preparation.
