Schacht has built a lifetime of service into their hand carders. They have a small lip milled into the rear edge of the paddle to protect the card clothing from becoming worn and the handles have been precisely tenoned into the paddles for superior strength. Their cotton carders are wider than our wool carders and are also available with curved or straight-backed paddles. With 208 points per square inch, our cotton cards are excellent for cotton and other short or very fine fibers.
Listing is for one pair of 208 TPI curved carders. Choose Straight Back or Curved from drop down box at upper right. I have left the "old style" carder pictures in this listing to show the difference in backs. These are all new style/stock with the regular width rather than the old super-wide width.
For your FREE 2 OZ Fiber I will send a spinning/felting friendly ecru fiber. If you have a favorite natural color I will probably have that - I usually have white, off-white, fawn, gray, brown, black-brown and black. This will be already combed top & great for blending, plying or spinning!
