This fine 21.5 micron fiber feels even softer than it's micron count because of the lack of dyeing, which gives a slightly coarser feel to a fiber of the same micron count. What a great blend of natural undyed merino. This was a special and limited run by Ashland Bay and I loved it so much once I had my hands on it that I ordered a ton more. It is a lovely combination of light brown and medium brown fiber to make up a wonderfully earthy hue of a light grayish brown - nice depth of shading without dyes. I also list Natural Dark which is a blend of medium brown and dark brown, creating the same natural shading in a medium brown/gray color overall. Wonderful as hair color, sky color, animal fur color, this is Ashland Bay 64’s (21.5 micron) merino roving and great for spinning and all kinds of felting. I will combine it in an Ashland Bay Browns grouping as well, pictured last. A very high quality merino, this is next to skin soft.
Last picture is of Emma, made by Nichole at Blueberry Creations, using this wool.
