Tibetan Yak & Cultivated Silk Blend 50/50: Tibetan Yak is a luxury fiber often compared to cashmere and camel down. This yak/silk blend is the ultimate luxury fiber. Yak down is prized for it's exceptional warmth and softness. The fabulous color is tough to put a name to - a rich natural brown highlighted with the bling of lustrous cultivated silk. This particular yak color was used also to enhance the color and appeal of our yak/merino/silk and yak/merino fiber blend. Spun alone Tibetan yak is a luxury fiber that is impossible to resist - when mixed with wonderful mulberry silk, it is absolutely decadent. The micron count ranges between 19 -19.5. The staple length 2 inches. Your fingers have never had it so good!

Baby Camel/Tussah in a 50/50 blend: Absolute finger candy, possessing an amazing softness & luster. It spins like a dream in any weight or type of yarn you are looking for. Creating a true luxury fiber with substantial strength. Gorgeous natural color in a multi-faceted fawn color with a dazzling luster. I have seen this blend over-dyed and it's absolutely gorgeous. The last picture is there to show the way this blend dyes, emphasizing its wonderful luster.

Merino/Yak/Silk (60/20/20): One of our favorite and surprisingly affordable special luxury blends. 60% 21.5 micron merino/20% Yak from Tibet/ 20% cultivated silk. The natural color of this blend is a silvery grey. It is also beautiful over-dyed. Luxuriously soft and quite the treat for your fingers!

Ashland Bay has outdone itself in these fine combinations they've been specialing. Each one is more impressive than the last. Your fingers won't believe the feel when working with this fiber! I got my hands in these for the first time while touring Ashland Bay's facility in OR. I was previously hesitant to carry the pricier fiber types for fear of them not being good sellers. Having once gotten a feel of this, I have no doubt that there are fiber lovers out there that will love it so much that they will feel it is worth every penny.

Second picture is both lux fiber with the yak/merino/silk on left and the baby camel/silk on right. 4th and 6th pics are of the camel/silk (I just can't stop taking pics of that one!) and the 5th is of the yak/merino/silk.

Listing is for one, two or four ounces of either (or why not try all three?). Additional shipping costs already included in the larger portions. More or less available on request. I ship every day but Sunday. Your order will go out immediately!
