Wonderfully soft and full of texture. Excellent for spinning, weaving, jewelry making, scrap-booking and fantastic mixed media!
Sari Silk Ribbon is made in India by women working through Fair Trade. They take what would otherwise be silk waste, from cutting sari silk for wraps and clothing, and sew the pieces end to end, occasionally tying ends, to make beautiful yarn. Some of these ribbon skeins are overdyed, which creates fantastic shading and a great range of similar hues. This colorway is made up of a deep blue & brighter blue between teal & turquoise that is absolutely going to please! The pictures are not as beautiful as the ribbon is in reality but my camera seems to be missing something, especially the luster. Shown in different lights, this is a beautiful jewel toned colorway. Ribbon width ranges from 1/4" to nearly 1" across, with a few having lacy, fringed, or frayed edges for uniqueness. Use them phat or strip them into thinner ribbon. Embellish scrapbooks, book covers, scarves, art yarn, luggage or purse straps, even jewelry. Great in weaving, rug making, or plying into your OOAK yarns.
Listing is for five yards.
