Ashland Bay's line of superfine merino (19.5 micron) is a stunning blend of multis, using only one color group (or two very similar) in each blend. In this instance Carnary is composed of all their light to gold yellows in a very fine striping - from their pastel Yellow, Lemon to their bright Gold. The striping is so fine in fact, that you barely notice all the different shades unless you look really close. It just looks like a beautiful Canary Yellow from a few feet away, but the various shades give it a wonderful brightness and depth. Next to skin soft, this merino is excellent for spinning, wet and nuno felting as well as needle felting. First picture is Ashland Bay's own and the most accurate. The next two (mine, in different lights) do not pick up the right shade quite right.
