In early 2022 USPS began imposing a length surcharge on all packages 22" or more ($4) and a huge surcharge on packages 30" or more ($15). This is a good time to buy extra items such as lease sticks, shuttles, etc... to fill the box since the base shipping is so high on those items. I will refund overages on all other items, because the surcharge is the same for one package, regardless of how many things are in it.
Note: The 24", 28" and 32" reeds made by Ashford also fit the Kromski Harp Forte Rigid heddle looms of those widths. What a great way to get the DPIs that Kromski doesn't offer!
Reeds are available for differing yarns/threads. The 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10 dpi reeds feature the wide eye for novelty yarns. The 12.5 and 15 DPI reeds have a more narrow eye for finer yarns. Double up your reeds and you'll have twice the DPIs! Made from strong, durable nylon with Silver Beech rails and the reeds come in 20, 24, 28 or 32 inch width. Listing is for reeds only. If looking to fit a reed to a non-Ashford or home made loom the 24" reeds measure 25" long and the thickness of the rail is 9/16" thick.
