One of my custom 8" long colors, similar but a bit lighter than Mohave, Santa Fe is gorgeous and earthy in tone. With a truly Southwestern flair, as shown in first photo, Santa Fe reflects orange, gold and a bit of green. Base color is more of a Burnt orange though, rather than red. Color of first picture is closest. Third is a pic of the Mohave, a more red but earthy color I have made also. I am a wholesaler of Angelina and will always offer the lowest prices. Last picture is of collections of multiple colors I offer in .1 oz, 1/4 oz or more. Choose half or full ounce from drop down box at upper right.
Angelina is a very unique fiber, being both light reflective and light refractive. A fantastic embellishment fiber, adding depth, dimension, visible "texture" as well as bling. You'll frequently see it mixed in with yarn, felting, art batts and the like. For spinning or making art batts (or roulags), just a few fibers do a lot! Blended with other fibres in amounts as small as 2%, it gives sparkle and highlight to your projects, whether it's yarn, batts or felt. You can just "add a tad" while spinning singles or sprinkle a bit into your carder or blending board to liven up any color mix. To felt, simply lay it on top of your project or between your wool and the wool will tack it down. If layering between the wool, you'll want just a thin over-layer of wool so that you don't hide the wonderful sparkle and brightness of the Angelina. The pictures are a bit duller than it actually is. My camera doesn't pick up the subtle accents in this beautiful fiber and makes it look too one dimensional, as always seems to be the case when photographing Angelina - just doesn't do it justice..
