Typically designed for use with Inkle looms. backstrap looms, and card/tablet weaving, these belt shuttle have a fine beveled edge for packing down the weft. They can also be used in any other kind of weaving and are fantastic for inlay design detail. Their fine beveled edges can be used instead of a beater or fork, doing double duty and eliminating the need for too many tools (is there such a thing? : )

THESPINNERY Brand: I have these made for me and they are fantastic - The have a flat bottom with knife edges to pick more easily through the tight warp threads. They are beveled with a height of 3/8", excellent for separating the threads so you can easily see what's up and what's not. Smoothly finished maple with durable lacquer finish, measuring 6" long. A fantastic value.
ASHFORD Belt Shuttles are 7" long X 2" high with a sharp beveled edge on one side and a flat surface edge on the other (can actually sit upright on your table). Great for packing narrow or wide wefts and has narrow openings to the ends to hold onto the yarn and thread, not letting it slip out. Unfinished.
SCHACHT Bet Shuttles are 8" long and 1 3/4" high with a thin edge and a slightly thicker edge. Made of maple hardwood and smoothly finished.
LACIS Belt Shuttles are 8" long with the curved top and beveled edges. Also smoothly finished - shown in third pic.
Great time to stock up so you can have more than one shuttle wrapped with your different colored yarns, ready to use. Because these are lightweight, an additional shuttle will only add $1 each shipping to your order total, so feel free to order several of the same or different shuttles from my shop. Choose from drop-down box at upper right.
I ship every day but Sunday. Your order will out immediately.
