Two options for this wheel - with or without flyer, bobbins or whorls (Flyers, bobbins and whorls are interchangeable between the Sidekick, Matchless and Ladybug, so if you want to have a great portable wheel for travel at a great price, pick up the Sidekick without the flyer, bobbins and whorls, and take along those from your other "homebody" Schacht wheel. 1. With no flyer, whorl or bobbins (since flyers are interchangeable between some Schacht wheels.

A true traveler, this pint-sized gem is everything you want to see in a folding, take-along wheel. Sidekick is Schacht's newest spinning wheel. A terrific, little spinner, comfortable (made so by our long curvy treadles and an orifice height of 25"), stable and easy to fold and unfold. They employed a little bicycle technology in the Sidekick design. The drive wheel is turned 90 degrees as on a bicycle, and uses a precision tension control for the drive band, and quick release levers for easy folding/unfolding. Though the Sidekick is compact wheel, she is a solid spinner. Here are some of the Sidekick’s features:

The Sidekick comes with 3 travel bobbins, fast and medium whorls, threading hook, and adjustable carrying strap. You can also order it as the wheel without the bobbins & whorl if you already have a Schacht wheel and wish to simply interchange the bobbins. One of the great things about Schacht products is that many are interchangeable so you don't have to have a separate bobbin collection for each wheel:)

Travel Bobbin - (3" × 4.5" - 2.8 oz) The new travel bobbin was designed especially for the Sidekick, and is compatible with the Ladybug and Matchless spinning wheels. With molded plastic flanges, the travel bobbin is durable and affordable.
Additional whorls – slow, high and super high speeds – are available to expand the range of spinning ratios and make your spinning even more enjoyable. (Note: the extra slow speed whorl is not recommended for use on the Sidekick. There are issues with the fit due to the size of the whorl.)
